Unfiltered and 100% Naturally Carbonated

The South End Saison is a dry French saison. Our saison was brewed with a traditional saison malt bill to enhance the soft mouthfeel of this otherwise very dry beer. To give a little extra depth of flavor to this already complex beer we added delightfully fruity Mosiac hops and cracked peppercorn at the end of the boil. Combined with the lemony character from the French saison yeast, the result is a wonderful balance of tasty spice and fruit flavors.

All Switchback beers are brewed in Burlington, Vermont and are carbonated during fermentation by the yeast itself resulting in a 100% naturally conditioned beer. After aging, we simply move the beer to the keg or bottle, leaving it unfiltered for the freshest, fullest, most natural flavor possible.

Unfiltered and 100% Naturally Carbonated

After four long months of ageing, the result is a full-bodied twist on our Thai Lime Gose. This brew leads with an oak aroma followed by a pleasant punch of tequila, finishing with a mellow tartness and a hint of salinity.

A hazy straw colored beer with a clean lactic sourness that is tart, fruity, spritzy and highly effervescent all in one. Our Berliner Weisse is brewed with our house ale yeast and Lactobacillus.

Our Export Stout starts with a smooth mouthfeel, followed by an early sweetness, and ends with a marked roasted flavor and bitterness through to the finish. Coffee and dark chocolate essences from the roasted barley shine through.

Our Thai Lime Gose is a hazy straw colored beer with the subtle aroma of lime and citrus. The bright lactic sourness is balanced by the salinity of the sea salt making this Gose fruity, spritzy and highly effervescent all in one. The Gose is brewed with our house ale yeast and Lactobacillus.

5.2% ABV and 42 IBU
Unfiltered and 100% Naturally Carbonated

This pilsener highlights the power of “L.E.M.,” our custom-made, proprietary hop handling device, to infuse the noble Saaz character in to the beer.  After utilizing whole cone Saaz hops, both early for bittering and late for aroma, we pass the hot wort through L.E.M. on the way to be cooled for fermentation. Then L.E.M. is packed with even more whole cone hops in an ultra-late hopping charge.  After six full weeks of lagering, we dry hop more Saaz into the finished beer using L.E.M. to inject and circulate the hop slurry to maximize hop oil extraction.

Fresh Hop XPA is a clean, hoppy pale ale featuring handpicked Chinook, Centennial, and Cascade hops from Homestead Hops in Starksboro, VT.

This smoky dark ale is inspired by Switchback Founder Bill Cherry’s time in Kansas City. Blackstrap Ale harkens to KC’s iconic BBQ tradition with its combination of sweet and smoke, derived from an outrageous use of smoked, roasted, and caramelized malts with a hint of dark brown sugar. Drink up and dream of burnt ends with this explosion of bold and smoky flavors.
